Lectronix Announces the R7000 - Second Generation RV Information System

RVIA 2007

New driver information system from Lectronix brings the latest navigation, safety and entertainment to RV consoles

RVIA Louisville, November 27th, 2007 – RV enthusiasts will now have the most advanced navigation, safety and entertainment features right at their fingertips, thanks to the newest driver information system (DIS) announced today by Lectronix.

The company has introduced the R7000, a next generation audio/video/vehicle management system that integrates the best new technologies to enhance the RV driving experience.

State-of-the-art navigation is seamlessly incorporated into the R7000, supported by the TeleAtlas logistics data package.  The system can account for highway restrictions such as RV height and weight, and automatically calculate a safe, legal, and efficient route avoiding any potential conflicts.  Using the dash mounted touchscreen, users can easily access the built-in address book or type in a destination via on-screen keyboard.

Booking a campground or scheduling RV maintenance has also been made simpler, thanks to the integrated point-of-interest feature.  Over 6 million points of interest, including campgrounds, service stations, and restaurants, can be accessed and reached through the integrated Bluetooth wireless cellular connectivity feature. Enhancing both safety and convenience, the R7000 includes a series of voice systems, including spoken turn-by-turn navigation, voice recognition, and noise cancellation technologies.

A complete range of entertainment and driver information features are also included in the R7000.  Within this single device, the R7000 incorporates a radio, CD/MP3 player, USB-based MP3 and WMA FLASH drives, rear- and side-view camera system, fully integrated wireless tire pressure monitor system utilizing Advanced PressurePro technology, engine, coach and trip monitors and alarms, and an advanced vehicle management system.

The R7000 installs into the same dashboard space typically used for camera monitors on RVs, and replaces seven separate systems with one.  The flexible design of the Navion R7000 also allows for a variety of expansion options, including the ability to “plug and play” Sirius or XM satellite radio and iPOD audio inputs.

Riverpark, a distributor of mobile audio/video products, is the first to offer the Lectronix R7000 to the U.S. recreational vehicle industry.
